Job Requirements
- Tertiary education in Communications or relevant discipline – like Public Relations, Mass Communications or Journalism.
- Minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in Corporate Communications Journalism or related fields.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of social media channels/content management will be an advantage.
- Strong writing skills with ability to develop creative ideas.
- Good data analytic skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to relate to individuals from all levels and areas.
- Good project management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job Responsibilities
The Senior Manager of Corporate Communications drives communication strategies and initiatives for the Tripartite Alliance Limited (TAL) and its agencies – the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Practices (TAFEP) Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management (TADM), Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSH Council) and the Tripartite Collective. These efforts aim to generate awareness, promote understanding and amplify the impact across the whole gamut of TAL’s work.
Specific to the role of strategic comms and social media, the primary responsibilities include conceptualising, planning and executing data-driven communications initiatives and identifying challenges and opportunities to grow TAL’s social media presence. This job function also requires staff to manage events and projects independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the use of social media channels across the whole of TAL; develop strategies with regards to choice of channels, types of content to enhance TAL’s branding.
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to analyse sensing and operational data and translate the relevant insights into specific comms and education plans in order to improve business outcomes.
- Engage internal stakeholders to exploit the use of comms to help overcome business challenges and improve outcomes.
- Plan and implement communication plans to generate public awareness and promote understanding of the work done by TAL and its agencies.
- Assess and attend to media queries and build relationships with journalists. Manage media onsite at events and provide support to TAL’s spokespersons for interviews or speaking opportunities.
- Recommend appropriate comms responses, engage media and craft clear messages for the full range of public communications materials.
