Job Responsibilities

The Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management (TADM) in-house Bengali-English interpreter helps to alleviate communication barriers for Bangladeshi migrant workers, by helping to interpret verbal communications for Bangladeshi migrant workers at TADM who otherwise would not understand English. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist TADM officers to communicate effectively with Bangladeshi Migrant Workers by interpreting verbal communications during advisory sessions as well as during mediation.

• Arrange for external Foreign language Interpreters for proceedings at the Employment Claims Tribunal (ECT), and process payment forms for finance department to make payment promptly.
• Attend the ECT hearings in person to provide interpretation service in urgent situations where no other external Bangladeshi Interpreters are available.
• Perform other administrative and ad-hoc duties including helping to track department statistics and translate written documents such as pamphlets and transcripts when required.

Job Requirements

• A tertiary qualification in any discipline.
• Interpreter for Bangladeshi migrant workers. Proficiency in English & Bengali is a must.
• Singapore Supreme Court Registration as a qualified Interpreter.
• Possession of prior frontline customer experience would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in using MS Excel, Word & Powerpoint.
• Conflict resolution capability & good communicative skills.
• Meticulous and good interpersonal skills.
• Initiative and a team-player.
